DETAIL DESCRIPTION
As a Structures Design Engineer, you will develop, maintain and modify structural system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods to provide product definition throughout the product lifecycle. Your duties can range from managing design development, test and production activities and coordinating with suppliers to optimizing design, achieving program goals or leading the investigation of emerging technologies in order to develop concepts for future product designs.

• Performs detail design and documentation of structural system requirements to establish the system design.
• Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
• Leads performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements.
• Investigates emerging technologies to develop future product designs to meet projected requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace/Astronautical engineering
• Directly relevant experience is typically required for more senior levels
• ABET is preferred, although not required.
