DETAIL DESCRIPTION
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

At Kabam, small teams of artists, designers, and engineers work together to collaborate on exciting games. A 3D Environment artist will utilize 3D and 2D production techniques to contribute anything from concept mock-ups to finished production-ready art for use in a game. Applicants should be familiar with both pre-rendered and realtime 3D production pipelines. You'll take direction from the Art Director and Lead Artist, meet with the team to talk about and show off your work, make changes as needed, and work with engineers to ensure that your work is properly implemented into the game. You'll have a decent amount of leeway to create really cool stuff, and will hopefully be excited about contributing to the game design itself.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

* At least 3 years experience working on shipped game titles.
* An excellent understanding of architecture, spatial layout, lighting, and visual composition.
* Ability to create scenes utilizing 3D environment and prop models, including UV set creation and painted texture maps utilizing Maya or 3DS Max and Photoshop.
* Possess a solid understanding of modeling for limited poly, real-time game pipelines.
* Ability and experience in working within technical constraints of game engines and editors.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating an ability to work with a broad range of subjects and styles from realistically detailed to stylized.
* An affinity for architectural as well as natural environments.
* Solid knowledge of the technical aspects of level building and have constructed levels from start to completion.
* Strong passion for gaming.
* Strong cross-functional communications skills; verbal, written, and visual.
* Ability to take direction well and to play well with others. No prima donnas!
* A desire to grow your skills and experience.
* A terrific sense of humor.
